At Aetas, we help men restore healthy hormone levels safely and effectively through medically supervised TRT.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT) helps men regain energy, strength, focus, and vitality when hormone levels drop. At Aetas, we use precise diagnostics and specialist care to restore healthy testosterone levels safely and effectively - so you can feel strong, clear-minded, and fully yourself again.

Why testosterone is important

Testosterone is essential for energy, strength, mood, libido, and bone health.

Levels naturally decline by about 1 % per year from your 30s.

Low levels can cause fatigue, reduced muscle mass, lower sex drive, and mood changes.

Long-term deficiency is linked to higher risk of diabetes, heart disease, and osteoporosis.

Maintaining healthy testosterone levels supports overall vitality, focus, and well-being.

What are the signs of low testosterone?

Fatigue or low energy

You may feel unusually tired during the day, even after a full night's sleep.

Reduced strength and muscle mass

It becomes harder to maintain or build muscle, and workouts may feel less effective.

Lower libido or erectile dysfunction

A drop in sex drive or changes in sexual function are common signs.

Mood swings, low motivation, or poor concentration

Low testosterone can affect mental clarity, drive, and emotional stability.

Sleep problems

Difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or feeling rested can be linked to hormonal changes.

Treatment Process

At Aetas, your TRT journey is structured in two phases, ensuring precision, medical safety, and optimal effect.

Phase 1

Prescreening & Diagnosis

DKK 6.300,-

The purpose of Phase 1 is to determine whether you meet the medical requirements for TRT. To be eligible for treatment, the doctor must determine whether your symptoms are truly due to hypogonadism or influenced by other factors, as several conditions can present with similar symptoms.

What's included in Phase 1:

  • Comprehensive blood panel
  • Initial consultation with our experienced doctor
  • Assessment of symptoms, medical history, and lab results
  • Diagnosis and treatment recommendation

Important information:

  • All new TRT clients must complete Phase 1. We require that both the consultation and blood tests are performed through our clinic to ensure accuracy and quality of care.
  • Only if the doctor confirms that you meet the requirements, you can proceed with the TRT treatment in Phase 2.
  • If you're not eligible, alternative options or lifestyle strategies can be discussed with your doctor. There's no refund if you're not eligible to proceed with TRT treatment.
  1. Booking

When you book an appointment for TRT, you are booking a date for blood sampling. As soon as you have booked, you will receive a questionnaire by email, which you are kindly requested to answer.

  2. Blood tests

    Approx. wait time 3 - 4 weeks

You will have the following blood tests: Testosterone (total and free), DHEA-S, SHBG, LH, FSH, liver function (ALT, AST, bilirubin), kidney function (creatinine, eGFR), lipids, hematocrit, leukocytes, vitamin D, vitamin B12, T3, T4, and PSA (if you are over 40 years old).

  3. Initial consultation

    30 minutes

Once we have received your blood test results, the doctor will assess whether you may be suitable for testosterone therapy based on your results and symptoms.

Phase 2

Treatment Initiation & First Follow-Up

DKK 6.300,-

Once eligibility has been confirmed, your TRT treatment can begin.

What's included in Phase 2:

  • Prescription of testosterone medication
  • Individualized dosage and treatment plan based on Phase 1 results
  • Follow-up blood test after 4 weeks
  • Follow-up consultation with your doctor to evaluate the effect and adjust dosage if needed

Important information:

  • Testosterone is initiated with a daily gel. If you and your doctor agree that a different treatment option is more suitable, injections may be considered.
  • The prescribed medication must be collected from your local pharmacy and is paid for at the time of pickup. It is not included in the treatment price.
  • Additional consultations or blood tests are not included in the price and will be billed separately.
  • If your doctor assesses that further testing or consultations are medically necessary to ensure the safety and effectiveness of your treatment, these will be mandatory to continue your TRT program.
  • Phase 2 is valid for 6 months. After 6 months a new phase 2 must be completed to continue treatment.
  1. Medication

After your initial consultation, and the doctor has deemed you suitable for treatment, the doctor will prescribe the medication.

Once you have picked up the medication, you can start the treatment.

  2. Follow up blood tests and consultation

    After 4 weeks

You will have follow-up blood tests after 4 weeks to assess if the treatment is effective.

Additionally, you will have a follow-up consultation with the doctor to determine whether your dosage needs adjustment.

  3. Possible additional steps

In the first 12 months, you may need several follow-up consultations and blood tests to monitor your dosage and treatment response.

One consultation and one set of blood tests are included; additional ones are billed separately.

What Is hypogonadism?

Hypogonadism is a condition where the body produces too little testosterone which can lead to symptoms such as fatigue, low libido, mood changes, and changes in body composition and metabolism.

Is TRT dangerous?

When TRT is supervised by a specialist with correct dosing and regular monitoring, it is generally safe. Risks mainly occur when large, infrequent doses are used, as this can disrupt normal hormonal processes. Small and consistent doses keep testosterone levels stable, which keeps side effects minimal.

Well-managed TRT can offer benefits beyond symptom relief, including support for cognitive health and potential protection against certain neurodegenerative and chronic disease risks.

Are there any side effects of TRT?

In normal doses, testosterone use typically does not result in side effects. Side effects such as acne, hair loss, and aggressive behaviour are usually observed only with overdosing. Overdosing can also negatively impact sperm production, fertility, and the body's ability to produce testosterone naturally. It's important to address lifestyle factors, including exercise and diet, before considering testosterone therapy, especially in cases of overweight and inactivity.

What is the optimal dose?

The optimal dose varies based on individual factors. Follow-up blood tests help monitor the treatment's effectiveness and ensure the correct dose.

Where can I pick up my medication?

You can collect your prescription medication from your nearest pharmacy.

How should I store TRT medication?

Store the medication in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light. Do not freeze the medication.

Can I get a refund if I am not eligible for TRT?

Testosterone therapy at Aetas is divided into two phases. Phase 1 is the startup phase, where blood tests and a medical consultation determine whether you are eligible for treatment. If you are not eligible for TRT, the doctor can discuss alternative treatment options with you. Since Phase 1 (including the blood test and consultation) is completed regardless of eligibility, no refunds will be issued.

How can I naturally raise testosterone levels?

Natural ways to increase testosterone include maintaining an active lifestyle, having a fulfilling sex life, spending time outdoors, enjoying social interaction, and getting plenty of hugs, laughter, and quality sleep. It is also beneficial to limit exposure to toxins and avoid ultra-processed foods. For individuals who are overweight, improving diet and increasing physical activity can be especially important, as excess weight can negatively affect testosterone levels.

Who is not a suitable candidate for TRT?

Individuals suffering from severe obesity, enlarged prostate, aggressive behaviour, substance abuse, or illness are not suitable candidates for TRT.

What if I'm already in TRT but want treatment at Aetas?

The process remains the same. Even if you are already receiving TRT elsewhere, you will still need to begin with Phase 1.
